• Debbie is warm, approachable, professional and fun! I love her voice, so when she teaches us the parts it's so pleasant to listen to. The music we cover is varied and it isn't just singing along like karaoke - we often split into 3 part harmonies which I love! Everyone is really friendly and after each session, I feel uplifted and energised.

Her enthusiasm and great sense of humour are brought to every session but there is also the perfect balance of expertise and tips for how to get the most out of your voice. The other members have warmly welcomed me since I started in September 2025 and with a great range of songs and opportunities to perform should you choose to have kept me coming back. I can't recommend her choir enough, it's a highlight of my week!

  For the Love of Singing Choir is so much more than a choir, it is pure magic and at the heart of it all is Debbie. Debbie has the most incredible gift. She doesn’t just teach songs, she builds confidence, belonging and joy in every single one of us in the room. The way she encourages the us, celebrates our individuality and makes each one of us feel seen is truly special. You can feel the warmth the moment you walk into the hall. There’s laughter, kindness, energy and this beautiful sense that everyone matters. What makes it even more powerful is how naturally Debbie creates a space where people feel safe to shine. Adults who might start off shy leave beaming. Those who need extra encouragement receive it with patience and genuine care. It’s not just about singing, it’s about self-belief. And on a personal note, this choir has meant more to me than I can put into words. Through Choir, I feel like I’ve truly found my people. There’s such a sense of community, positivity and shared joy that it feels like belonging in its purest form. Being part of it has filled my cup in ways I didn’t even realise I needed. Debbie isn’t just running a choir, she’s creating magic, building confidence and bringing people together. We are unbelievably lucky to have her. 💛

  Last year, I made a promise to myself to take better care of my wellbeing and do something just for me. I joined 'For the Love of Singing' and it's become a highlight of my week! As someone who doesn't see themselves as a strong singer I was very nervous, but there was no need as Debbie creates such a relaxed atmosphere with a friendly and welcoming group. We sing, we laugh (a lot!) and we experience the joy of singing with others. I leave every week with a smile on my face and, each week, I sing a little louder and a little bolder!   My daughter absolutely loves coming to choir, Debbie has a wonderful gift of being able to bring confidence out in the teens. Emma has always loved singing but got very nervous performing, she is now singing solos in songs in front of audiences which is just wonderful to see (and hear).   The choir is a wonderful way to decompress every Wednesday. We sing, we laugh and we have fun with a group of like minded people. It’s a lovely, friendly group and everyone is made welcome. Debbie’s energy is incredible and she truly is a joy that lifts everyone with her. Performing is optional but feels like an achievement when it’s out of your comfort zone. The songs are tunes that everyone would know and you have the words to help you. Most of all it’s a lovely community that’s growing with time. I’ve been part of it for three years and it’s an important part of my week and wellbeing.
