When you as a Class Provider upload contact details to a Class Listing you manage, you authorize that person to access your information that is shared, including but not limited to certain information like your full name, phone number, address, Listing information, Listing photos, and email address. Class Providers are contractually required to handle any shared personal data in accordance with applicable data protection laws and appropriate safeguarding standards.

8.4 Complying with Law, Responding to Legal Requests, Preventing Harm and Protecting our Rights. We may disclose your information to courts, law enforcement, governmental or public authorities, tax authorities, or authorized third parties, if and to the extent we are required or permitted to do so by law or where disclosure is reasonably necessary: (i) to comply with our legal obligations, (ii) to comply with a valid legal request or to respond to claims asserted against ClassHoppa, (iii) to respond to a valid legal request relating to a criminal investigation to address alleged or suspected illegal activity, or to respond to or address any other activity that may expose us, you, or any other of our Users to legal or regulatory liability, (iv) to enforce and administer our agreements with Users, or (v) to protect the rights, property or personal safety of ClassHoppa, its employees, its Users, or members of the public. Where appropriate, we may notify Users about legal requests unless: (i) providing notice is prohibited by the legal process itself, by court order we receive, or by applicable law, or (ii) we believe that providing notice would be futile, ineffective, create a risk of injury or bodily harm to an individual or group, or create or increase a risk of fraud upon or harm to ClassHoppa, our Users, or expose ClassHoppa to a claim of obstruction of justice.

8.5 Business Transfers. If ClassHoppa undertakes or is involved in any merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or insolvency event, then we may sell, transfer or share some or all of our assets, including your information in connection with such transaction or in contemplation of such transaction (e.g., due diligence). For example, as part of our fraud prevention efforts, we scan and analyze messages to mask contact information and references to other sites. In some cases, we may also scan, review, or analyze messages to debug, improve, and expand product offerings. We use automated methods where reasonably possible. Occasionally we may need to manually review communications, such as for fraud investigations and customer support, or to assess and improve the functionality of these automated tools. We will not review, scan, or analyze your messaging communications to send third-party marketing messages to you and we will not sell reviews or analyses of these communications.

9.2 Third-Party Partners, Integrations and Sub-processors. We work with a number of trusted third-party providers to deliver the ClassHoppa Platform. These include:

  • Payment processing. We use Stripe to process payments and provider payouts. Stripe is PCI DSS Level 1 certified and card details are captured directly by Stripe — they never pass through or rest on ClassHoppa's own systems.
  • Platform hosting, database and infrastructure. We use cloud hosting, database and application infrastructure providers to run the ClassHoppa Platform and store your information securely.
  • Communications. We use third-party providers to send transactional emails and notifications relating to your bookings and account.

  • Maps and location services. Parts of ClassHoppa use Mapbox to support location search and display maps. Use of this service is subject to Mapbox's privacy policy, available at https://www.mapbox.com/legal/privacy.

Where any of these providers process your personal information outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.

9.3 Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies on the ClassHoppa Platform. We place non-essential cookies (such as analytics and advertising cookies) only with your consent, in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the consent requirements of the UK GDPR. Strictly necessary cookies do not require consent. You can manage or withdraw your consent at any time via our cookie settings. Full details of the cookies we use and their purposes are set out in our Cookie Policy, to access this please email support@classhoppa.com.

10. Safeguarding Special Category Data (Including Children's Information)

We recognise that certain personal data collected through the ClassHoppa Platform, including medical information relating to children, constitutes special category data under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

We are committed to ensuring that this information is handled with the highest level of care and protection.

10.1 When We Collect This Data

We may collect special category data where you choose to provide it, including:

  • Medical conditions, allergies, or additional needs relating to a child
  • Emergency contact or health-related information required for participation in activities
  • Any other sensitive information voluntarily provided by Users

We only collect this information where it is necessary to support a child's participation in activities and to help ensure their safety and wellbeing.

10.2 Lawful Basis for Processing

We process this data on the basis of:

  • Explicit consent provided by a User; and
  • Where applicable, to protect the vital interests of a child (for example, in emergency or safeguarding situations)

You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us or updating your account settings. However, this may affect your ability to use certain services.

10.3 How We Use This Data

We use special category data strictly for purposes such as:

  • Enabling Class Providers to safely deliver activities
  • Ensuring appropriate care and response in case of medical needs or emergencies
  • Supporting inclusion and accessibility for children with additional needs

We do not use this information for marketing or profiling purposes.

10.4 Who We Share It With

We only share relevant medical or sensitive information:

  • With the specific Class Provider responsible for delivering the booked activity
  • Where necessary, with emergency services or medical professionals
  • Where required by law

We ensure that only the minimum necessary information is shared.

10.5 We only collect special category data where it is relevant and necessary to support a child's participation in activities booked through the ClassHoppa Platform.

This information is retained alongside the associated account for as long as the account remains active and in use, so that relevant medical needs can be shared with Class Providers for current or future bookings. Where an account has been inactive for 36 months, we will seek to confirm the information is still needed before it is deleted.

This information is deleted, not anonymised, when no longer required, unless a longer retention period is required by law, for example in connection with a safeguarding matter or legal claim.

10.6 Security Measures

We implement enhanced security measures to protect special category data, including:

  • Restricted access controls (only authorised personnel and relevant providers)
  • Encryption and secure storage systems
  • Monitoring and safeguards to prevent unauthorised access or misuse

10.7 Children's Data

Personal data relating to a child is provided to us by a parent, guardian, or another adult with responsibility for that child, for example, a family member or carer booking on their behalf.

We require that:

  • The person providing this information has the authority to do so on the child's behalf
  • Information shared is accurate and kept up to date

We take additional care to ensure that children's data is:

  • Processed fairly and transparently
  • Limited to what is necessary
  • Protected against misuse or unauthorised disclosure

11. Security

While no organization can guarantee perfect security, we are continuously implementing and updating administrative, technical, and physical security measures to help protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, destruction, or alteration.

12. Personalizing Based On Your Inferred Identity

When you log into ClassHoppa on a browser or device, we will associate that browser or device with your account for purposes such as authentication, security, and personalization. Subject to your settings, we may also associate your account with browsers or devices other than those you use to log into ClassHoppa (or associate your logged-out device or browser with other browsers or devices). When you provide other information to ClassHoppa, including an email address, we associate that information with your ClassHoppa account. Subject to your settings, we may also use this information in order to infer other information about your identity, for example by associating your account with hashes of email addresses that share common components with the email address you have provided to ClassHoppa. We do this to operate and personalize our services. For example, if you visit websites with sports content on your laptop, we may show you sports-related ads on ClassHoppa for Android and, if the email address associated with your account shares components with another email address, such as shared first name, last name, or initials, we may later match advertisements to you from advertisers that were trying to reach email addresses containing those components.

13. Non-Personal Information

We share or disclose non-personal data, such as aggregated information like the total number of times people engaged with a Post, demographics, the number of people who clicked on a particular link or voted on a poll in a Post (even if only one did), the topics that people are Posting about in a particular location, some inferred interests, or reports to advertisers about how many people saw or clicked on their ads.

14. Our Global Operations

To bring you our services, we operate globally. Where the laws of your country allow you to do so, you authorize us to transfer, store, and use your data in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and any other country where we operate. In some of the countries to which we transfer personal data, the privacy and data protection laws and rules regarding when government authorities may access data may vary from those of your country. Where data is transferred outside the UK, we ensure appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses are in place.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The most current version of the policy will govern our processing of your personal data. If we make a change to this policy that, in our sole discretion, is material, we will notify you within ClassHoppa, or by sending an email or SMS to the email address or phone number associated with your account. By continuing to access or use the Services after those changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Privacy Policy.
