Happy Doodles After School Club: Winter Term We’re delighted to be starting a 7-week block of Happy Doodles art sessions at South Cave Primary this Winter! 📅 Dates: Every Wednesday from 5th November – 17th December ⏰ Time: 3:30 – 4:30pm 💷 Cost: £60 per child (7 sessions, block booking) Each week, children will have the opportunity to create festive, cosy-themed arts and crafts to celebrate the winter season. Depending on the complexity, some projects may continue over two weeks to allow for more detail and creativity. As always with Happy Doodles, sessions are child-led and low pressure, if your child prefers to explore the art materials in their own way rather than follow the weekly theme, that’s absolutely fine! The focus is on expressive arts, play, and wellbeing in a safe, supportive space. 🎨 What to expect: A variety of art materials to explore (paint, collage, crayons, inks, and more) Festive, seasonal projects designed to spark imagination The chance to experiment, create, and relax after school Weekly themes: Week 1 – 5 Nov: Bonfire Night Art Scratch-art fireworks and painted firework bursts. Week 2 – 12 Nov: Autumn Leaves & Woodland Leaf printing and cute woodland animal collages. Week 3 – 19 Nov: Frost & Ice Magic Sparkly salt paintings and frosty window hangings. Week 4 – 26 Nov: Winter Animals Polar bears and penguins made from paper plates and cotton wool. Week 5 – 3 Dec: Festive Decorations (Part 1) Craft salt-dough ornaments and paper garlands. Week 6 – 10 Dec: Festive Decorations (Part 2) Paint and decorate ornaments, make mini wreaths. Week 7 – 17 Dec: Festive Finale Handmade festive cards and Santa collages to take home. Happy Doodles is run by Jodie Smith, a local mum, children’s author and illustrator, who is enhanced DBS checked and holds a paediatric first aid certificate.
