Wild Hearts Art Club - Let the Light in
Spring is on its way 🌷, the days are getting brighter, and for March at Wild Hearts Art Club we’re celebrating with colour, sunshine, and creativity ✨. In this session, your Wild Heart(s) will create their own vibrant suncatchers inspired by the joyful, smiley world of Takashi Murakami 😊🌼. Using bright colours, playful shapes, and light-catching materials, we’ll explore how art can make us feel happy, confident, and free to express ourselves 🌈. Murakami’s work is full of bold colour 🎨, fun characters 😄, and imagination 💭 - perfect for encouraging children to be brave with their ideas and enjoy the process of making, not just the finished piece ✨. Group 1: Ages 4–7 🕙 10:00–11:00 This session is all about play, exploration, and confidence 🎉. Children will: ☻ Explore colour, shapes, and simple patterns 🎨🔺 ☻ Use pre-cut and easy-to-handle materials ✂️ ☻ Be guided step-by-step while still choosing their own colours and designs 🌈 ☻ Focus on fun, sensory making and building creative confidence ✨ Perfect for younger artists who love bright colours and making something they can proudly take home 🖼️💛. Group 2: Ages 8–11 🕦 11:30–12:30 This session allows for more independence and creative decision-making 🌟. Children will: ☻ Design their own Murakami-inspired suncatcher from scratch ✏️ ☻ Experiment with pattern, layering, and colour combinations 🎨 ☻ Create more detailed, personalised designs ✨ ☻ Think about how light moves through their artwork ☀️🌈 Ideal for older children who enjoy experimenting, problem-solving, and developing their own artistic style 🧠🎨. All materials are provided. No previous art experience needed - just curiosity, imagination, and a willingness to have fun. Come and make something bright, joyful, and full of springtime light 🌈✨

Sian puts on such a wonderful workshop, the kids enjoy it so much and it’s a great experience to learn new skills, with permission to get creative and a bit messy! I love joining in too!
