Learn Mandarin through play, exploration and early years development. WenLin’s Panda Class is a Mandarin Chinese class for preschool children aged 3–4 in Clapham, designed around how young children naturally learn and develop. Rather than teaching Mandarin as isolated vocabulary, each lesson connects Chinese with a child’s real world and early development – exploring themes such as nature, animals, seasons, colours, numbers, family, emotions, the body and the world around us. Through stories, songs, movement, games, art, simple science, sensory exploration and hands-on activities, children learn Mandarin while developing curiosity, observation, thinking, communication and confidence. Children begin building listening and speaking skills and naturally develop an early awareness of Chinese characters, preparing them for more structured learning at Reception age. Panda is part of WenLin’s continuous Mandarin pathway from toddler to GCSE and advanced HSK, so children can progress with us as they grow.
